About Saxonville

Saxonville occupies the northern section of Framingham along the Sudbury River. Nipmuc people lived near the river falls before colonial settlement, and John Stone established a home in the area in 1647, when the community became known as Stone's End.

Waterpower later supported grist milling and textile production, giving Saxonville a lasting industrial identity and its present name. Historic mill buildings, bridges, established homes, and access to Framingham's business and recreation network continue to define the village today.
